Digital Command Control Working Group's

Web and Archive Site

The purpose of this Web site and archive is to allow for easy accessibility to information about Digital Command Control (DCC). The National Model Railroading Association (NMRA) has been working for several years to develop standards and recommeneded practices for DCC. Two NMRA organizations are working in support the DCC effort:
  • DCC Special Interest Group(SIG)
Open to both NMRA members and non-members, the SIG was chartered to
provide a focal point for modelers interested in DCC. The SIG produces
a newsletter (available by subscription), and provides the opportunity
for modelers interested in DCC to make inquiries, exchange information, ect.

  • NMRA Electrical Committee: Command Control Working Group
This group focuses on the development of NMRA Standards, NMRA
Recommended Practices, and NMRA Data Sheets on DCC. Including both
modelers and manufacturers, this group has been responsible for the
development of NMRA Standards S-9.1 and S-9.2, as well as the on-going
work on various Recommended Practices. It is also responsible for
conformance testing as it relates to the NMRA DCC standards.
DCC FAQ Version 1.9 - This version of the FAQ is a cross between the text and postscript versions. It contains inline transparent graphics (89a) which some older browsers may not read.

PLEASE NOTE: All approved standards and RP's are now Copyright NMRA and will appear on the NMRA Web pages in the Standards and Recommended Practices section in full HTML for viewing and printing. All other unapproved documents will remain here.
